A versatile, traditional product popularly used in the manufacture of outdoor wear, tipees, marquees, to Land Rover tilts, and protective covers of any nature. From a practical application, cotton tarpaulins are commonly used for protecting agricultural crops as they eliminate condensation, which is detrimental to product quality and therefore the value of goods. For example they are used for covering a range of products from hay and potatoes in the U.K. to delicate cocoa and fruit crops in tropical climates.

Where quality branded outdoor clothing is to be combined with functional rigour our lightweight range of cotton is uniquely treated and coloured. J.T. Inglis is a mainstream supplier of wax proofing for country leisurewear. The sole U.K. manufacturer of gaiters for walking and fieldsports pursuits is supplied with Filamore. A testimony to the product quality is its leading recommendation in TGO Magazine, review January 2000.

Filamore is also extensively used in France and Germany for traditional horsewear where it is recognised as the premium product for equine well being.

From an aesthetic viewpoint as texture and natural fabrics become more universally popular in home décor and furnishing, designers are exploring and adopting cotton for numerous interior uses.

Fuelled by features in TV programs and lifestyle magazines, as shown, its use is not only limited to design inside; as we become more focused in outdoor living style, cotton has found a feature role.

Our dry chemical finishing is available in a standard range of colours e.g. white, green, blue, orange, yellow, red, and olive.

Corporate colours or customised product colour ranges can be matched either through our dry chemical processing or through our colour fastness range of dyed Filamore.

Traditionally, our heavier weight cotton receives finishing for the production of Land Rover Tilts. A statement of the quality finish and fabric performance is the rigorous demands placed upon the tilts in worldwide climates.
