 This is a newly developed process which imparts a shower and mildew resistant finish upon light weight dyed fabric or a water and rot resistant finish on standard weight fabrics. This is only one of our latest products from our continuous development programme. This particular product is part of extensive work targeting finishing formulations with a flurocarbon content. It exhibits excellent water resistant repellency with a high spray rating of 100: normal spray rating on standard finishes would be expected to be a rating of 60-70 under the BS En 24920: 1992 Determination of Resistance of Textile Fabrics to Surface Wetting.The name AquaKinetic is derived from these strong surface water repellency properties. Its durable finish on a dyed base fabric makes it a versatile product for many made up items. It is a finish which can be imparted on a range of 100% Cotton and Regentex base fabrics and is used for a number of applications in the clothing and leisure industries - for example in the manufacture of motorbike covers and boat covers. |
